eCOGRA Promotes Responsible Online Casino Gambling In London - Global Training Session For Casino Operators.
A second global training session on responsible gambling at online casino sites will soon be underway in London
thanks to
eCOGRA. One of the online casino industry's
watchdog organization has announced that its plan to explore
the practical use of effective measures to promote responsible gambling at over 100 top online casinos and online
poker rooms will take place
at the end of May. According to eCOGRA, online casino and poker room managers are concerned and committed to resolving
the problems surrounding underage and problem gambling. Managers responsible for handling these issues around
the world will converge on London for two days of intensive training by a team of specialists from the
international Global Gambling Guidance Group.
A similar session was held last year in Cape Town, South Africa for eCOGRA sealed sites. The course is part of an
ongoing requirement for online casino sites and Internet poker rooms holding the
"Play It Safe" seal to
trained members of staff overseeing effective responsible gaming practices. Attendees learn how to identify problem
gamblers at online casino sites through lectures, homework and practical workshop sessions.
The impact of problem gambling on online casino players' families will also be examined in detail. eCOGRA CEO Andrew
Beveridge has previously stated that responsible gambling best practices are an important requirement for the online
casino industry from both a compassionate and business perspective.
